by Julie Wiatt

Cheryl Laird: "Education is critical for life success. Also, when everything seems bad, it'll only get worse with age. If it seems bad today it'll get worse tomorrow."

Amina Hassen: "Do your homework.Even though I don't really follow that rule."

Alex D' Hoore: "Judge everyone. It's the only way you'll ever sort out your life."

Paul Ross (with Keisha): "Speak the truth."

Nikhil Potdar: "Think before you speak to strangers."

Kidee Bendera: "Keep smiling — that's the best medicine for happiness. Respect your elders. Enjoy life."

Deniz Kanter: "Value yourself, value life. Live with honor and dignity. Learn to think and love."

John Dolan: "Figure out what you do well. My brother gave me that advice. What I do well is be calm around nervous people. I was trying to figure out where I could find nervous people. I'm a photographer; the answer was: at weddings."

Robleh Esa: "Always do what you think is best, not what other people tell you."

David DiSimino: "Don't let other people tell you what to do."
