Maryland House of Delegates: District 20

Challengers shake things up

At the District 20 Takoma Voice Election Forum on June 9 challengers Gareth Murray (Dem.), Richard Rosethal (Dem.), and Linda Schade (Green) dared the incumbents to give up their corporate sponsors and compete on a level playing field. Delegates Dana Dembrow (Dem.), Sheila Hixson (Dem.), and John Hurson (Dem., no longer running in 20) all declined to do so.

Delegate Peter Franchot did not attend. It's anyone's guess how things will turn out in this race given the lack of unity among the incumbents and three scrappy challengers.
